We recommend flying into Kilimanjaro international Airport, Arusha, as it is the preferred starting and ending point for your safari. However, it is also possible to arrive via Dar es Salaam if that better suits your travel plans but that may involve extra costs and flights.

We recommend arriving at Kilimanjaro airport, in Arusha, two nights before your safari start date. You will spend the first night in Arusha before taking a private charter into the hunting area the next day to settle into camp, sight your rifles and position for the start of your safari. All of our safari itineraries include one travel day before your hunt begins and one travel day after it ends. These travel days to and from camp are not part of your actual hunting days, so you will have the full, scheduled hunting time to enjoy your safari experience.

Activities and relaxation around your safari dates are organized based on personal preferences. Early arrivals can be accommodated with a 2 night stay in Arusha to allow for some rest and recovery. The extra day can be spent at the lodge and souvenir shopping, or a day trip can be organized to Arusha National park or Tarangire National Park. At the end of the safari you can add a night’s stay at a lodge in Arusha or extend to a few days spent on a leisurely photographic safari in luxurious lodges, and/or a relaxing beach holiday on pristine beaches on the island of Zanzibar.

If you prefer to travel without rifles and use company rifles for your safari we have rifles for hire. Ammunition will be purchased for your safari locally and will be charged at the local purchase price.

The CDC and the World Health Organization recommend various vaccinations for travel to Tanzania so please click HERE for more information and consult your physician for their recommendations. The vaccines recommended are not compulsory and the best choice of vaccines for your trip depends on many individual factors, including your precise travel plans. Vaccines commonly recommended for travellers to Africa include those against Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Yellow fever, Malaria Rabies and Meningitis.‍‍

The government of Tanzania requires proof of Yellow Fever vaccination upon arrival if you are traveling from a country with risk of yellow fever. If you are travelling directly from the United States or Europe it is NOT REQUIRED. However, if you are transiting in a country that is endemic and will stay there for more than 24 hours, you are required to have the vaccine. A complete list of these countries is available at the U.S. CDC website.

Foreign nationals entering Tanzania are required to obtain a tourist visa. Visas can be obtained on line or upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. To access the e-visa services please visit www.immigration.go.tz and click the e-services button; select On-line visa application and fill in the form.

While on safari in our remote wilderness areas non-hunting family members can accompany you and your professional hunter on your daily excursions and stalks. Depending on the number of companions and their ages we can organize an additional safari vehicle and guide thus allowing the non-hunting companions to dictate their daily participation on your hunt and the option to do their own game drives and excursions. Non-hunting companions can also relax in camp during the day enjoying the solitude and calmness of nature around them.

Sharing your safari experience with family and friends is the most fulfilling and bonding aspect of your safari and we encourage you to plan your trip as a family adventure. Once you are on safari there are always options that can be considered that will add to your memorable experience. Such options may include the services of a trained professional bush chef that will elevate your safari dining experience to another level, or the provision of a knowledgeable photographic guide that can offer insights into nature and keep non-hunters enthralled and engaged.
